Frequently Asked Questions

These are the questions we are asked most frequently about Board2Classroom, from how goal cascading and forecasting work to how student privacy is protected. If your question isn't answered here, schedule a demo and we'll walk you through it.

What is Board2Classroom?

Board2Classroom is a school improvement platform that transforms district strategic plans into clear, actionable, and measurable goals across every level of the system. By connecting the boardroom to the classroom, it strengthens alignment, builds shared accountability, and supports continuous improvement in daily practice.

Was Board2Classroom built by educators?

Yes. Board2Classroom was inspired by an educator with 25 years of experience in building and district leadership. Every feature reflects the real work of school systems, from strategic planning at the board level to goal setting and progress monitoring at the building and classroom levels. The platform is grounded in how system-oriented educators actually operate, ensuring it is practical, relevant, and focused on improving outcomes rather than adding another layer of compliance or complexity.

How is Board2Classroom different from competitors?

Unlike traditional planning or compliance platforms, Board2Classroom is built for alignment and action, not storage. Its embedded AI accelerates the work of district leaders, building leaders, and teachers by reducing manual planning, analysis, and reporting time while making progress visible across the system. By intentionally connecting district priorities to building and classroom goals, Board2Classroom turns improvement planning into an efficient, ongoing process rather than a one-time exercise.

How does goal cascading work in Board2Classroom?

Board2Classroom enables true goal cascading by carrying district and board level goals directly into building and teacher planning spaces. Instead of searching through separate documents, educators clearly see how their work connects to district priorities within their own goal setting process, creating clarity, coherence, and shared ownership across the system.

How does Board2Classroom maintain student privacy?

Board2Classroom is designed with student privacy as a foundational priority. The platform primarily uses system level inputs such as goals, plans, and improvement strategies and does not require individual student names or student level records to function effectively. If documents are uploaded for analysis within the system by the user, Board2Classroom uses Microsoft Presidio to automatically detect and redact personally identifiable information before any intelligence driven tools are applied.

In addition, Board2Classroom follows standard data security practices including role-based access controls, secure data encryption, and strict limitations on data use. AI supported features are used only for decision support and planning efficiency, giving leaders confidence that privacy, professionalism, and compliance remain fully intact.

How does the forecasting feature work, and is it research-based?

Yes. Board2Classroom's forecasting engine is grounded in research from leading experts like John Hattie, Robert Marzano, and Linda Darling-Hammond. It analyzes implementation patterns and strategy effectiveness to predict whether current efforts are on track to meet desired outcomes, allowing leaders to act before it's too late.

Is Board2Classroom only for districts, or can a single school use it?

Both. Board2Classroom supports multi-building districts and standalone schools equally well. In single-school mode, the platform streamlines the experience so a single school, charter, or private school plans at the building level without district-only layers getting in the way. As a system grows, the same structure scales naturally to multiple buildings.

Who in our district uses Board2Classroom?

Board2Classroom is built for everyone who owns a piece of the improvement work. District administrators manage the strategic plan and district goals, building administrators lead building improvement plans, and teachers and team members set and monitor team goals. Access is role-based and scoped by building, so each person sees the work relevant to them while district leaders keep visibility across the whole system.

Can we export reports for board meetings and stakeholders?

Yes. Board2Classroom generates ready-to-share reports including board summaries, achievement reports, building summaries, alignment analyses, and SWOT reports. Each can be downloaded as a PDF, Word document, or PowerPoint presentation, so leaders can walk into a board meeting or community presentation with polished materials in minutes instead of building them by hand.

Can we gather feedback from staff, families, and the community?

Yes. Board2Classroom includes a full survey system. Districts and buildings can use ready-made surveys or build their own, then share them through email invitations, public links, or printable QR codes. Responses can be collected anonymously, and results are scoped so leaders see feedback for the schools and groups they serve. Stakeholder voice becomes a built-in part of the improvement cycle rather than a separate tool.

Does Board2Classroom support our meetings?

Yes. The built-in Meeting Companion lets teams record a meeting, upload audio, or type notes directly, then automatically produces a clear, structured summary. Decisions and action items are captured in the moment, so committee and team meetings stay connected to the goals they support instead of living in someone's notebook.

How does Board2Classroom use AI, and do we stay in control?

Board2Classroom uses AI to accelerate the work, not replace the educator. AI helps draft and analyze improvement plans, generate alignment and SWOT analyses, forecast progress, summarize meetings, and turn results into shareable infographics. Every AI-generated draft is fully editable, and AI output is used only for decision support. Your leaders and teams stay in control of what is adopted.

What happens at the end of the school year?

Your work carries forward. When a new school year begins, plans, goals, and scoring scales can roll over so teams refine what they built rather than starting from a blank page. Prior years remain available for reference, giving districts a running history of their improvement work over time.

What support is included?

Every district has access to a searchable Help Center built into the platform, along with direct in-app messaging to the Board2Classroom support team. Questions are answered by people who know both the product and the work of school improvement.
